i wanna build my own server

I have been told for a server you need a diferent chipset
can some one tell me why and how you tell

Deskyop chipsets are not designed to run 24/7 and conseqwently have a shorter life span
upto 2/3rds less

the way I would do it is buy a pentium xeon motherboard they are for servers
