I don't see why Welchia is so bad, it attempts to download and install updates and removes mydoom in the latest variation of the virus (the C version)

What's so bad about that? I wish more viruses did that...

if that is all it does then why define it as a virus?

Because somewhere, somehow, someone messed up on the coding, at it can completely hose a computer, atleast that's what I think, but I think the person who made it had the right ideas in mind.
