for those of you out there this is a commen first tim mistake

if you are running your own mysql server make shure to put a password on the root aswell as the user

Also, when running any type of server, for anything, product updates, get them, and don't delay them, cause I've seen to many servers hacked because they don't update there product. If there is an update for something, it's most likely cause someone got into it using a security hole and there fixing that hole. If someone did it once, then it can be done again unless you update.
